UPDATE: RCMP confirmed Monday evening the man who was found dead earlier was from Kelowna. He was 52.
At this time, the death is not considered suspicious. The BC Coroners Service is conducting its own investigation into the circumstances of the man’s death.

Kelowna RCMP are investigating after a man's body was found in a small park area along the Sutherland Ave. recreational corridor between Burtch Rd. and Harvey Ave.
Several police vehicles were on scene Monday morning, with a nearby porta-potty cordoned off.
Police said in a media release, they responded at 8:17 a.m.
Members of the Kelowna RCMP Serious Crime Unit along with the BC Coroners Service were on scene assisting with the investigation.
