And the winner of 10K for the Holidays is …

One lucky person walked away with an amazing holiday gift package

Anita Tompkins didn’t wake up on Dec. 20, and think she would have $10,000 to spend on groceries by the end of the day.

But she did, thanks to being the lucky winner of 10K for the Holidays, a giveaway presented by Kelowna10, 103.1 Beach Radio, and 104.7 The LIZARD.

Out of nearly 12,000 entries, 25 people were selected and invited to an exclusive grand prize draw party at Tonics Pub & Grill.

Everyone’s names were put into a festive stalking, and drawn out, one-by-one, until just two people remained.

Tompkins won and was given the opportunity to chose from one of 14 amazing holiday gift packages, all valued at $10,000. The runner up received a $100 gift card to Tonics.

The avid 103.1 Beach Radio Mornings listener decided to select a $10,000 grocery shopping spree from Save-on-Foods.

“We have five adult kids, and they all have their own families, so it is just going to help everybody,” she told Kelowna10 after the win. “I just feel really, really, blessed. I feel really, really blessed. This is going to be huge, absolutely huge for us right now. It is, it is just an absolute blessing.”

She said she’s never won a prize this big before, adding her husband routinely enters all the exclusive contesting offered by the radio stations but has never won.

“Unbelievable. Absolutely unbelievable,” she added.
