And the Pay it Forward winner is ...

For the past few weeks, we here at Kelowna10, 103.1 Beach Radio, and 104.7 The LIZARD, have been asking you to give $1,000, get $1,000!

We wanted to know someone in the community you felt deserved a leg up, and to Pay It Forward, by giving them $1,000, on us!

And since no good deed goes unrewarded, we honoured your generosity by giving you $1,000, too, just for nominating someone.

Out of hundreds of entries, Bridgit, who was nominated by her work colleague, Jake, won:

Bridgit is a teacher of the deaf and hard of hearing. For the last few months, she has been working the job of two people, tirelessly, while her colleague is off on medical leave. She's been putting in extra hours to make sure her students get the extra help they need. Through all this, she's still kept a positive attitude and an extra grand would be a nice way for her to feel appreciated!
