A $5M lottery ticket was just sold in Kelowna. Is it yours?

Someone is about to be a whole lot richer!

If you bought a lottery ticket in Kelowna, check it. You could be $5 million richer.

The BC Lottery Corporation said the winning ticket from the April 8 draw was purchased in Kelowna.

It was the only one in Canada that matched all six winning numbers of 8, 13, 16, 27, 31, and 46, to win the $5-million Classic Jackpot.

This is the second Classic Jackpot won in B.C. in as many weeks. A man from North Vancouver just won a $5 million Classic Jackpot.

All winners have 52 weeks from the draw date to claim their winnings.

The specific retail location was not given. That, and the winner’s name, will be announced when they claim the prize.

The odds of winning the Classic Jackpot are 1 in 13,983,816.

In 2022, B.C. lottery players redeemed more than $113 million in winnings from Lotto 6/49.
