Saturday’s forecast: Unsettled mix

While it’s true it’s not the best weekend weather, it's not the worst either.

An upper trough will keep us in a moist, southerly flow on Saturday.

We can expect mostly cloudy, showery conditions with sunny breaks in between and a cooler daytime high of around 24C.

As nice as those sunny breaks will be, they will have the potential to provide enough heating to trigger some isolated thunderstorms.

This light rain is good and sun is good, but lightning is not; we’ll see how the day plays out.

Overnight, we will see partial clearing and a low of around 14C.

The gradual trend through Sunday is towards clearing, so the weekend won’t be a total right off.
