Quite the hot shot
Voice of the Kelowna Rockets Regan Bartel, stepped in behind the plate against pure heat – and lived to tell the tale.
The Kelowna Falcons brought in Carson Kimball, a Texas pitcher who can deliver fastballs, reportedly approaching 100 miles-an-hour.*
Regan did his best to stay casual.
One blink, one pop of the glove, and a whole new respect for what ball speed feels like.
Fastballs that fast?
You don’t just catch them… you survive them!
Check out the video and get a better understanding of what it's like to face such speed!
(* The reference to Regan's Radar in the video is purely to illustrate Regan's perception of each of the pitches he faced. It is not an accurate or scientific measurement of the speed of those pitches.)
