Friday’s forecast: Low woes

Duane English has your very local weather for May 26

A stubborn low will continue to dig in its heels a bit and linger to the south of us on Friday.

There is not a strong moisture feed to make it rain per se, but with some daytime heating, the circulation around it will encourage convective showers and possibly even a non severe thundershower over the mountains to the east of us.

So although I can’t say there won’t be any rain showers Friday afternoon, it’s an Okanagan Valley, “probably not” kind of situation.

We will see variable cloud with high of around 24C, slightly warmer if we get more sun.

Variable cloud will continue overnight with a low of around 9C.

Seasonal Averages: High 21C  Low 8C
