Celebrating 75 years since a song that changed music
It was a musical move that forever changed the sound of music.
Ryan, from 104.7 The LIZARD, grabs his acoustic guitar and let's us know why The Fat Man by Fats Domino, in 1949, was truly the first foray into rock n roll as we know it.
With respect to the song Rocket 88 (Jackie Brenston / Ike Turner), which was a contender for first ever rock n roll song, Ryan walks us through the magical element of the Fats Domino track which made it the extraordinary breakthrough sound it was.
Even Elvis suggested Fats was the real king of rock n roll.
